All our team are native English speakers.

The owners of Ultimate have taught skiing and snowboarding all over the world; Switzerland, Italy, France, Austria, New Zealand and in North and South America before Ultimate Snowsports was born in 2007.  After many successful years in Tignes & Val d’Isere, we are proud to offer the same great product with new, friendly, experienced instructors joining our already established team.

All our instructors are qualified to the highest possible standard (BASI Level 4 ISTD) and have all the appropriate paperwork to be working legally in France. A few of our instructors have made it to the dizzy heights of being selected as trainers and examiners for the British Association of Snowsports Instructors.  They ensure that Ultimate Snowsports instructors are at the forefront of the industry using the most up-to-date tools and techniques to improve your skiing, whatever your level.

The concept of offering a 100% British snowboard school, means that there will never be a language barrier between you and your instructor.

We all look forward to sharing our knowledge and enthusiasm with you on the mountain.

However, Tignes still ranks firmly as his favourite resort. It’s limitless pistes, vast backcountry terrain and variety of freestyle parks means there is always somewhere to have an amazing day.

Rob holds the highest international snowboard instructing qualification (ISTD), and can help tailor every lesson to your needs and ability.

Whether you want to master your first turns, progress your freestyle, explore backcountry terrain on a splitboard or learn how to eurocarve, Rob has the passion, knowledge and commitment to get you there!

Simon one of only a handful of instructors in the British system who are qualified to ISIA level in both snowboarding and skiing.

He started skiing at the age of 3. From racing at Stoke Ski Centre dry slope, he progressed to national team level before ‘retiring’ to pursue an honours degree in Business and Music at Liverpool University. Simon completed his ski instructors at the young age of 20, and then moved on to teach snowboarding. Since then has enjoyed many seasons teaching, mostly in Espace Killy. After spending 2 winters working in Val d’Isere for BASS, he moved to Ultimate Snowsports in 2007. He feels that there is no better place to live and work in the world.

He has exceptional technical knowledge and ability, which coupled with a fun loving personality means that you will have a great experience whatever your level!
In his spare time he enjoys any active sports such as windsurfing, surfing and cycling.

Ben has an unsurpassed depth of teaching knowledge. Ben started skiing at the age of 7, at The Oval dry ski slope. After many winter holidays and after completing his first instructor courses, Ben starting working for the Interski Snowsports School at the age of 18. He finished all his ski teaching exams in his early twenties and moved on to teaching snowboarding as well. Ben has completed a whopping 23 winter seasons, 12 of which were continuous between New Zealand, Europe and America, which makes him the most experienced seasonnaire at Ultimate Snowsports!

He is a trainer/examiner for the British Association of Snowsports Instructors and is highly respected within the organisation.

In his free time he is keen to keep active by cycling or playing squash, yet he is not averse to winding down the hours sat back in a comfy chair watching non-stop sport!

Tom is another who completed all his ski teaching exams and then moved on to snowboarding world as well.

Tom started skiing at the age of 12 on school trips, enjoyed his first winter season at the age of 20, and completed his first teaching qualification 2 years later in the Aosta valley.
It was here that Tom managed the Interski Snowsports School for 3 years, but has also experienced winters in Italy, NZ, and of course most recently Tignes.
Winters are now a complete part of his life!

Continuing the trend of our instructors who enjoy teaching all abilities and all ages, he is another great asset to the team!

In addition to his ISTD Teaching Diploma, Tom studied Business Tourism Management at the University of Hertfordshire.

During the summer months, Tom has worked at many music and sporting events and was also recruited as a staffing manager for the Olympic park at London 2012.
Some of the many activities Tom enjoys include cycling, mountain biking, playing golf and more recently a love of surfing.

New to Ultimate for winter 2017-2018, Jenny has already assisted many happy customers with lessons, and is loving her time snowboarding on the slopes.

Jenny first strapped on a snowboard in 2014 in Queenstown New Zealand, finding time for the slopes, after 8 months of school teaching further North in Auckland.

Or resident Geordie, spends her mornings representing for Ultimate Snowsports, by afternoon she is shredding the pow and by evening… using her past skills as a primary school teacher to teach the rest of The TCC team her ‘real dance moves’, (mainly air thrusting and dancing on people’s shoulders).
You’ll also find her sippin on gin and juice and always smiling, never a dull moment when Jenny is around. She is an absolute inspiration for party games; what Jenny doesn’t know about this, simply isn’t worth knowing.

Back at home, she enjoys surfing on the beautifully cold beaches of Northumberland.
